Cubby

Cubby is going through a bit of a rough patch right now.
His Dr. diagnosed him with "failure to thrive" 3 weeks ago. He eats like crazy and is not gaining weight. The Dr. is running some labs to test for metabolic diseases, Celiac disease, and thyroid problems. The Dr. is leaning towards Celiac disease.

My Outlaw and I decided to try a gluten free diet for awhile. The first thing on the list to replace: Cheerios. Cubby LOVES his Cheerios. If he had it his way, he would eat them with every meal and for every snack. Thankfully we found a gluten free product like Cheerios. Unfortunately, Cubby has a bit of difficulty eating them like Cheerios. I am sure he will learn.

The second item we had to replace was cookies. He doesn't have very many cookies, but big Buckaroo likes to share with him. So it is easier for me to just give him a little cookie. Cubby enjoyed a shortbread cookie.

Cubby is still too young for a lot of stuff. Which is good for us. It gives us more time to learn what and where to buy gluten free products.

We should be getting his lab results in a few weeks. I am hoping that it isn't something serious. Pray for my little Cubby.

Welcome!

Hello everyone.
I have finally started the blog that I have been thinking about for a few months.

The main purpose of this blog is to share the adventures of my life with the "Wild Bunch". The "Wild Bunch" consists of my wonderful Outlaw (my husband), Buckaroo (our 3 year old son) and Cubby (our 9 month old son).

Life gets a little crazy around here at times, but life is an adventure worth living.
