Cubby is doing great! He has gained 4 pounds since the start of the failure to thrive diagnosis. Three of those pounds he gained in a matter of two weeks.
Cubby saw a gastroenterologist. The Dr requested a bunch of labs be done, and to come back at the end of March. She didn't like the labs that were done by his primary care Dr. She didn't feel they were accurate tests. The gastroenterologist has called for labs to test for: Celiac disease, Cystic Fibroisis, Diabetes, and a bunch of other metabolic diseases. I don't think anything is wrong with him. I just wasn't feeding him enough.
How much does Cubby eat? Imagine feeding a highschool football player. I think that accurately describes how much he eats. You think I am kidding? Who would have thought a little baby could eat so much?
Cubby is now on a high calorie, gluten containing diet for the time being. The Dr thinks that Outlaw and I reacted too quickly in removing gluten from his diet.
